Hello Boys and Girls,
It is that time for our annual fund raiser, Plane Fun Festival on Father’s Day weekend, June 15 and 16. In addition to airplane rides and children activities we will be working in conjunction with, “The Armed Forces,” a veterans support charity. They will be running a marathon on the airport on Sunday. My hope is that our two organizations can support one another to make each event more successful.
Some of the things we need help with are making parachutes, coloring and flying small wooden gliders, racing string planes, shooting off air rockets, jump rope, and hula hoops to name a few..
We are making an appeal for volunteers to help run our activities. We need people that are interested in working with children and helping them color and assemble various aviation toys and projects. We need all types of volunteers but especially if you have a daughter, niece, or neighbor girl that would work with kids for the afternoon, it would be great. Have them register as a volunteer for the event, the community would greatly appreciate it.
