I took my mom for a flight in the Piet, for the first time, last Sunday and on the way home we talked about how her uncle had arranged to have his cousin take my brother and I for a flight around Toledo as a birthday present (12th). It was my fist time flying ever and I remember every moment of it, even the drive to metcalf, like it was yesterday.  We actually had to delay it a week because it was right after 9/11. After talking to my mom I realized that my great uncles cousin is Mr Piel. I remember seeing him when he received that award at HATH. I'd like to give him a call and thank him for introducing me to aviation and let him know I got my ticket.
